First of all -you are amazing! Could you tell me what math curriculum your district uses. Our district uses Eureka & I find it moves way too quickly to the abstract and not enough time in the concrete.

We use Math in Focus - honestly, it is not my favorite and we supplement a lot! It is language heavy. But it does allow for supplemental games and activities to make sure we have plenty of hands on practice before moving to the abstract.

I use multiple methods (Smart Panel, AAC devices, visuals…).

I don't work with non-speaking students on a regular basis, so I would not be the best person to answer this question! I would certainly ask someone who works in special education or with nonverbal students and see how they differentiate to help students access the information!
