Hi my daughter is 13 month old she started pointing pics of animals on wall wn I say wr is dog she touches the dog pic and points .is it considered as pointing.she still doesn’t point things of her needs.

Same with my son too. He doesn't point the water or food he needs but he points to cat apple in books. He is 14 month old. Is it considered as pointing?
