He is a great guy, right on my face and I wasn’t looking at him as a bf material and kept him in the friend zone till he stop calling and texting me for a while and I texted him to ask him if he was ok and that’s when said what it needed to be said for me to wake up and realize that I was loosing a friend and a potential good partner . What else can I ask for?? He’s respectful, a gentleman, the one that opens the door for me and close it. Flowers (which I love) I have never heard him cursing on other people. He understands that I’m a family woman and even though my kids are grownup I like spending time with them. I have a son in the Marines and if he calls me and I’m with him he understands that I need to answer his call and talk to him as long as my son wants. I give him his time with his 5 year old son too.

Not saying that’s what’s going on but cold feet is a thing. It’s also something you can overcome by agreeing to take things slowly and minimizing the pressure of expectations. Temporarily of course. LOL he and I just got off the phone after commentating movies and shows together. Literally we talk 4 to 6 hours a day, until the wee hours of the night. We ended with him saying “you know you need to get some sleep”.... we’re not a couple and we live in different states. I can compare it to a “LDR”. Because I listen to key words e.g. “if we were in the same state, or if I lived an hour away, do you think we’d still have this connection “ I know me. I was honest about it... cuz I’m 43 and these incognegro men in Milwaukee 😒😒😒. Told him I’m happy and appreciate what we have. i was suggesting friendship after he has found a girlfriend but then he broke off the foundation we already had but saying he doesn’t wanna be my friend. I used to be so upset and disappointed in him and started to hate him because I was protecting myself. Im so confused, he does ALL of this. He’s my best friend.. We ended up becoming even closer lately.. in the past he’s had “on and off” feelings for me but I was dating other people and he was too. Later on this year, I ended up telling him I have feelings for him but that I want to focus on finishing college but admitted it would hurt me if hes seeing other girls and i don’t want him to feel trapped bc we’re also roommates. I also told him that I would rather stay friends and hoped our friendship didnt change or become awkward bc I told him I like him more than a friend. He was fooling around with a girl at the time and cut her off after i admitted how i felt. I felt awful and told him he shouldnt have done that, especially if he really liked her (he spoke highly of her as if she really made him happy). However, he cut her off because he claims he thought it would be better and for his own personal reasons.. but he repeated he doesnt have romantic feelings for me... weeks later (currently), i’m out of town visiting family for a month since i’m on christmas break.. yet he STILL does all of this. He even facetimes me every night. I guess I have to just let it play out. I’ve been giving him space though, I’ve been trying to detach myself as well incase he does start seeing or fooling around with another girl.
