It’s not too hard. The first is antennae: Male moths have fluffy ones, and females don’t while all butterflies don’t have any fur on theirs. Moth keep their wings down most of the time unlike butterflies, they have slightly cuter eyes and as usually no mouths sometimes. While butterflies are skinny and “elegant” looking

Thanks for responding. You are mostly correct but there are exceptions to each of your answers. Many moths have no “fluff” on their antennae. The difference is that they have no “club” at the end like butterfly antennae

Good video. Can anyone explain how to preserve the specimens without getting it all rotten and color fading?

one thing most people don't know is that a butterfly called the olive wing butterfly is the only true-blue insect on earth which means their body can produce the color blue as all other animals it's a trick of light

Interesting. I haven’t heard of that. I’ll have to look into that

What about when a butterfly or moth at rest like how they hold their wings while resting? I allways considered a Luna Moth to be a beautiful moth, also a Cecropia Moth.

Yes. That is another aspect of differentiating them that I did not get to you in this video. I plan on making a whole Nother video about that sort of thing! Thanks buddy appreciate you watching
