Very good video. I do miss scrapping , but these videos are help me. You are right about experience and knowing where to find the different metals. You can find metals in just about everything. Fun and more fun.

It has actually gotten a little full. My wife kinda got on me about cleaning up the scrap. Have not been able to park one of cars in the garage since Dec.

Great info! Thank you very much. So as I told you before I'm new to scrapping, well relatively new. I can't tell the difference between copper and brass. Could you do a video showing ways to tell the difference? Thanks!!
@TinManScrapper4 жыл бұрын
Well brass is gold colour and copper is copper colour. I will eventually do a video on separating bare bright, #1 and #2 copper but not much to say about brass other than gold colour and copper....well copper colour
@missouripickers57534 жыл бұрын
It's funny I was thinking that I meant bare bright and regular brass. You beat me to it though. Thanks and sorry about that. Lol!!

Stainless is worth about 0.75 a pound and clean aluminum is worth about 0.50 a pound. Both are great and aluminum is probably more often found.

hi animal Tin Man, I don't have any back issues at 65, but now I do. pull that work bench out and throw a sheet of plywood on it and you will have a studio to present. lol

I usually can tell if something is stainless steel from the dark distinctive shiny color

5:53 gas hose is stainless steel.

The magnetic thing gets me cause some stainless steel just slightly sticks I just through in with tin shred or my thin metal scrap.
@TinManScrapper2 жыл бұрын
Yup, any magnetic property, you will get tin price.
@BushDogScrapper2 жыл бұрын
@@TinManScrapper I'll keep that in mind thank you 👍

If the magnet sticks to the stainless steel it should actually be carbon steel
