How many of those 66 blocks I terminated in the US Air Force working E& I for 15 years, 1980 to 1995 I'll never know. And we had to stencil both the block and back board. Damn I was good. I train a lot of Airmen how to do it right. Loved it. Good Video, Thanks.

Why punch down on the right side of the block verse the left ? or was the just for the demo. Dose the "in house "cable go on the Left and the external connection on the right? or dose it matter. Thank it was a great presentation!

I see it for demo purposes. In the field RJ21 the left is typically for the teleco coming in and the right is for the inside extension. I also think that it's preference to start at the top or the bottom. You can punch from the bottom of you are worried about wires getting in the way if you started connecting from the top. Speed comes from practicing.

Those five colors(white - violet) are from top to bottom but what about colors within those colors. For example in Ethernet copper it starts with white green or white orange and ends to brown. What is the order here? Or you just punch based on the color of the other side?

the pairs as follows: white violet top to bottom as you stated, then the others are blue, orange, green, brown, slate from top to bottom. So, wh/bu, wh/or, wh/gn, wh/br, wh/sl etc. Here's a link to help. www.fiber-optic-transceiver-module.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/ph3Th.png

In telephony cabling, it’s always blue, orange, green, brown and slate. They follow the white, red, black, yellow and violet. In Rj plugs etc, they lay out from the center outward.

I NEVER go under the bracket. I go through the top if the wire is coming up, and if the wire is coming down I loop and come through the bottom opening. That way you can pull the block off if you want, and additionally that Loop gives you some leeway African doctor is dead and it needs to be reworked. You cannot add cable but you can always take away

From these 25-pair this would be five separate phone lines, correct?

Separate pairs terminate 1 group at a time, top to bottom. It's violet not purple. US standard color code. Terrible example. For a beginner not bad I guess lol
