How to test 3 phase induction motor with Megger in Hindi/Urdu | Megger test of motor.This video is about 3 phase induction motor megger test in which by using a Siemens induction motor (Siemens company) and megger insulation tester I practically explain how to test 3 phase motor with megger or how to check insulation resistance of motor with megger.
Megger test of motor is a procedure in which we perform open circuit test of induction motor and short circuit test of induction motor so in this video I explain open circuit test and short circuit test in Hindi language and also show megger motor test results.
Megger is a mega ohmmeter which is actually a electrical test equipment (insulation tester) for measuring electrical insulation test like 3 phase induction motor insulation resistance test
and also used in open and short circuit testing of home wiring.
We know that 3 phase squirrel cage induction motor is basically a poly phase motor and ac motor which operates on three phase supply so when we want to connect any motor in star connection or delta connection we should firstly perform motor winding testing to identify the terminals of each three winding.
So there are main three tests of three phase induction motor open circuit short circuit and winding to body short circuit and for this purpose we perform motor winding megger test and for megger test of 3 phase motor we required only a megger.
I used a 1 hp Siemens motor for doing this megger test 3 phase motor and if you want all other stuff like speed control of 3 phase induction motor please comment in the comment section below.
