I've been putting your hunt work into my sheps morning drills. It's amazing to watch her. I've noticed if she loses it too long (somewhere around 4-5 minutes at this point) she'll go back to previous locations she found it in. When she does that there's about a 50/50 chance she gets stuck there. When that happens I don't say anything, I just move closer to where her ball is and wait. She usually ends up figuring it out then. Do you teach directionals? I'm starting to think if I teach her Left, Right, Forward, and Back commands I could help her navigate a moment of confusion. You're a busy man and don't expect any response but your videos have helped get me jazzed about teaching her more and more. Thank you, I really appreciate you showing your work.

Thats awesome!! Im glad you've been taking sometime and doing the hunt games with her. We definitely do teach directionals and I believe there's a brief video on our channel doing them. We'll try and upload a more detailed one in the near future, maybe even directionals using a laser! Happy Training! cheers

This is really useful thanks. I have a pet Mali x gsd who enjoys hunt play. I'm thinking of extending to some training in mantrailing. Are there any basic obedience he needs to be familiar with before transitioning. Thanks

Do you have any videos on building hunt drive in a puppy?
