Alan Edwards who cut Farrah's hair in the 70s cut my hair in San Francisco at a hair show when I was in beauty school in 1982 on stage.

Very nice video! Some advice coming from a Mom that had this hair style in the 1980's - you would be better off investing in a good set of hot rollers rather than curling every section with a curling iron. You will get better volume plus it won't take as long to style your hair. You will still need the iron for the top and for touch-ups but seriously, hot rollers is the way to go. Have fun with your pretty hair!!

I totally agree, although I had best luck with MIST/STEAM rollers.

@@erinwiseman1560 You're just putting the pins in wrong! Push the plat side along your scalp. Bit of pracice & you will get it. Worth doing!

I was in high school when this look was in style. I used to use a round brush with a dryer to make our “wings”..and then use a curling iron in the front.. always got that brush..stuck in my hair your version is cool!. And a lot of us just used hot rollers

Farrah Fawcett had one of the most beautiful hairstyles ever. This young lady, like Farrah has a ton of thick hair which is why it worked so well on both of them.

You are stunning , your hair is so thick & full . Any tips for those of us with fine hair ???
@breighagauvin48484 жыл бұрын
laura sanderson Thankyou!!! For fine hair I know volume can be difficult so using a dry shampoo at your root will give you extra lift and for your mids and ends use a texture spray! It will help separate the hair and give it more volume! Also blowdrying your roots with your head upside down will help also!

I don’t get it... I tried twice and my hair just falls straight when I take it out the pins and claws. Is it because I’m using a new curling iron? I even tried hair spray and setting the heat higher but my hair still ends up straight 😔 or is it because I have fine hair?
@breighagauvin48484 жыл бұрын
Josie before you use the iron use a texture spray! It will create more texture for the curl to hold and yes fine hair is less course meaning curls don’t hold as well but products can do wonders! Even using a dry shampoo on your ends will create texture also!

He is right haha but that is still -- a good thing. I had the Fawcett cut too. The difference between the two eras is the Fawcett/70s hair the pieces were more angled from top to bottom. The 1940s style had a gap from the bang area to the sides. Honestly, new styles are a re-imagining of an earlier period. World War I saw the most hair invention when women cut their locks totally off.

We all wanted styles like Fawcett and Jaclyn Smith back then. Great to see the 1970s looks come back in vogue. Everyone got too focused on the 1980s there so we really need this break from the Cold War, big hair, and the Reagan era ugh

Looks Fantastic. But it has nothing to do with Farrah Faucett Dear. Not even a modern version . You need to have a real Farrah haircut and then You can twist any version of that... Although looks lovely and very 1970's
@breighagauvin48484 жыл бұрын
Danielle Lorenz Thankyou! Farrah had a long layered cut with short wispy bangs and angles to frame her face in order to flip them out. Her most popular poster with the iconic hair was actually in 1976! Modernizing is conforming a past style to be something new inspired by something old! not meant to be exactly the same:) Everyone is entitled to their opinion but Thankyou very much for the compliment ❤️
