There is something so cool and stylish about using a deck of cards as a weapon.

Incase anyone is wondering: "diagonal" basically means that approximate eyeballed 45° that we all know is the perfect angle throw something the longest distance. To sum it up, slightly-less-than "diagonal"= approximately 35° assuming 0° would be level with the floor... its 6:47 am on 9/14/24 im just now discovering this video by a guy whose content i last watched years ago and i haven't slept i needed this digital ramble

What an excellent tutorial! Thank you, thank you! This is going to really help me in my field of expertise... origami flickers. When I master your technique I'll make a video and I'll shout out your tutorial as my inspiration. I'm going to start to design an origami Cardistry Card Flicker...3,2,1... NOW!

20 minutes later... Done designing my first card-shaped flicker and I got it to boomerang, It has multiple layers that are locked at the corners so it won't get bent out of shape when it hits things.

My first touch to you guys was when I bought Virtuoso SS14 without knowing anything about its creators, and this deck of cards with its unique design was my favorite among my modest collection at the time of 30-40 decks that I had started collecting for about month. When the cards were in my hands I realized what amazing people stand behind him creation and Virts took a special place in my heart in the following years to this day.I am so proud to have all the decks from ss14 to fw17 and all yours history, development and rise to this day in my mind.Great job as always whatever you do!

I've been following u guys since the first Spring tutorial more than 10 years ago. Me and my frens had such great time with card fluorishes and tricks (ah the nostalgia). I can imagine the effort Huron was putting in order to break down the boomerang to the most fundamental aspects. Great to see thevirts' yet another passionate tutorial.

So glad to see people not only taking a interest in Ricky Jay's work, but also his card throwing ability. I followed his teachings for many years, funny stories of me being in my room, practicing throwing cards, and my parents would be watching tv, only to have a playing card fly out a good 40-60 feet. I would actually have to ask where it went, since i lost sight of it XD. I could also hit targets, and throw with quite decent force (will ruin your cards, so use cheap decks lol). R.I.P to one of the greatest magicians and card throwers ever, Ricky Jay.

Found this video in recommendation, I was dumb found that they thought you are using gimmick cards. I've been playing with cards in the pass and I accidently able to make a boomerang card as well. Altho mine is shorter in distance compared to yours. Your version is way cooler because of the distance. Back in the days, I thought someone would probably had a way to extend the boomerang distance. After 4 years in youtube recommendation section I found it. Thanks for the tutorial.
