Hey, so I know that the idea to spiral the ball is to let your index touch the ball last so it spins the ball, but I've had a hard time doing that. I still try to practice that, but when my middle finger is last, it's better. Is this a bad habit to practice, or is my middle finger fine to be the last to touch the ball?

Middle finger is fine as long as it’s consistent. If it’s consistent it’s not an issue. I used to throw like that as well
