When I moved to Chicago for college, I had an awesome airbounce that had taken me about a year to learn how to do perfectly ... and it took me all of a day to realize how worthless it was in the wind. Brodie's bang on: airbounce looks cool, but very limited in-game use.

Airbounce is one of the most effective throws if you know when and how to do it, for example low breaking a backhand mark, in the space, if the marker is bigger than you

its not completely useless in a game you just have be good at it and do it at the right times in the 2015 national championship a guy on i think seattel did it and went under the defeneders arm and came back up you just got to know when to do it and be good at it

The airbounce is one of my favorite throws, and I rarely throw it in game. The only time I throw it in game is if I throw it while putting a lot of curve on it. This allows me achieve a sharp curve very low off the ground to get it away from a marker.

i use the air bounce all the time during games and i never have problems with it. actually it was the reason we won a couple games. but for the lesser experienced players it can be a challenge

I do this going down bending the knees and throwing the disc at grass level. I call it the mower-and-rise pass. It will go from grass to up the head of the reciever, stationary possibly. --more a freestyle pass, of course

I think you're asking about doing the "Bounce-Pass," where you deflect it off of the ground and it bounces back up. But doing that is a pretty useless pass for tons of reasons. 1.) It kills the momentum of the disk and it drastically shortens your throw-range. 2.) In an Ultimate-Frisbee match, it's an automatic incomplete, because you threw it to the ground. 3.) Depending on the quality of your Frisbee (or "air disk") you could very-well end up cracking/breaking it.

i throw this in my games all the time to go under my mark's hand and as long as you keep it 10-15 yards its extremely efficient at least in my experience. ive never been blocked while throwing it before the mark just doesnt see it coming.
