Just wanted to you guys to know that I didn't even think about rating this video till Casey joked about the ratings. I thought it was great I just didn't think about rating it. And I'm sure a lot of other coaches out there do the same thing. So don't think because you aren't seeing a lot of "Likes" that we aren't watching the videos and appreciate them. Keep up he good work. Thanks.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/nWmXk6Bti7mjeZY :39 seconds in. . .arguably the greatest defensive catcher of all time. Look at his footwork.

Ratings should be good. Speed and accuracy are soo important here. I pass these onto my team of 12 yr olds I help coach

if you step right then left it takes longer and to top it off you will have to worry about stepping on the plate

Wrong Wrong. You will force your hip. He didn't even say to put your fist behind the glove . And we don't catch it . We transfer it .

The only thing those knee savers are saving is your virginity

you will never throw a ball straight with your landing foot closed like you are hitting... your hips have to be open.. watch any other position and how they throw.. why is catching different... sorry but i 100% disagree with your feet... feet are only as quick as your transfer.. bad exchanges,grips or arm dragging is because the feet were too fast too early... its how fast you transfer, not how fast your feet are.... watch old films of yourself and you will see

ive had my hand on my glove like that and i got a tip into the elbow

You cant throw down to second with your front foot closed off...that woukd force hip and front shoulder to come out....also no one catches the ball, they transfer it

I am the catching coach at IMG and agree with 99% with everything you said. Will show these to my campers. I teach this everyday. Good stuff.

Cliff Wren me too, except instead of my hand being behind the mit, I would protect my thumb and keep in in the pocket of my body loosly, for faster pop time. If my hands behind the glove, and the pitch is slipped, my hands done and I'm out for the season.

I have a good throw i just throw it to high any tips on how i can get it down more????
@tomjohnson492210 жыл бұрын
try taking a longer stride. That may force your shoulder to throw at a more downward slope. Also you may look at your release point.
@anthonypags994510 жыл бұрын
