Funny enough back when ToS first came out I had a strategy where I would pretend to sell out my fellow mafia. I would just put in my will how much I hated mafia, and wanted them to lose, then I would "reveal" who my other mafia were. Of course I made sure the only actual mafia I listed were already dead, the rest were random townies. Surprisingly this actually worked more than once, really surprising because I was a noob who had no idea how to play and would often accuse about five or six different people of being mafia, in addition to people who had already been hard confirmed.

If you write only a dead mafia/forged mafia as your real maf and the rest are townies and use your will for it rather than saying it yourself, it doesn't count as throwing. Any other way, its throwing since the strat is so trash and is immediately countered by a 1f1. Remember mafia have less member than town in an average game (All any excluded) which means losing a single maf member is worse for maf than town losing a town member. You cannot reveal your fellow mafia to town without discernible reason (e.g. the mafia in question was outed by a TI in which case you probably can out them unless you are confident they can shake off the sus.).

3:20 this literally happened to me one game, my ga protected once N1 to confirm themselves and tried to get me lynched so they could become surv. In the end maf killed me (prob cuz ga tbh) so they got their wish. But luckily for me pirate killed them the night the game ended so they lost as surv, while I won with town.

Also, if your target is amne and remembers jester, your goals will now be opposed. Intentionally becoming a survivor by getting your target killed and siding with the faction that's winning will increase your chances of winning, and is therefore not gamethrowing.

It's because, usually, when PB becomes Pest, the first people to be voted are Tracker claims since they share invest results, and, as you said, PB can reasonably fake tracker

@@guilhermedom2228 To be fair, I do believe that Tracker is a reasonable fake claim, but it's a risky one. Unlike usual, you don't want to infect everyone quickly. The best case scenario, 4 people are left, with two infected townies, you, and an uninfected, outed evil. They get voted, and you become pestilence immediately. Then, you can kill one of them. Basically, tracker is a surprise Pest claim, which is risky because you can't always control when you become pestilence. Plus, if maf call you out for having defense, even if you have the perfect tracker claim, town is gonna keep in mind that you're possibly PB. Essentially, I don't really think it's throwing, but it's almost never the best fake claim for you. If you wanna use the info you get as PB, though it might be more difficult, it's usually safer to claim LO, or, if you're feeling spicy, arsonist, though that would require a delicate balance itself

Worst throws I've ever seen is when a guy claimed to be a member of the mafia and started ratting his team out. However, that wasn't the real case as he was actually just making the town kill each other. I was mayor when he got me killed and it was during the era where disguiser hides as the exact roll. When going over Retributionist at 5:42, and talking about targeting themself, it reminds me of a Pipetron video in which the Retri offed themselves because the final evil was between the Retri and somebody else. By offing himself, he guaranteed the last 2 town a victory the next day, because there was only one unconfirmed person. Wish I could find it, but it’d be like finding a needle in a haystack.

This was in the sweet spot in 2020 between when retri got reworked to stop rezzing people and when forger was reworked to forge roles. Before that rework, retri couldn’t be tt, so now that it could, people were overly suspicious of them. Rather than waste a vote on me in the tt hunt, I shot myself with the vigi. We might have needed to vote a medium or mayor or something during the day, idk it was a long time ago. If the comment above is right though, you might not be able to do it anymore. Maybe y’all could help me test it later today
