Croatia here for explanation :) When (if) you anchor on rocky ground, the rope - basically any rope - may tear. This is endlessly more likely than that a knot will slip. So as much as it is nice to know how to tie nice knots, even the best ones will not save you if you have a rocky seafloor and bad luck. A chain is so much more reliable, plus it is heavy, which has additional benefits (better anchoring angle). NB, the traditional anchor knot is really one of the worse options, since the loop may go around sharp tips and tear/get stuck to some trash. The one shown here is a really good option, stick to that if you dont have a chain. But always travel with an auyiliary anchor, at leat one ;)

Hello guys.. looked really good knot and helpful. I have a question though. I have a rope that doesnt fit to go twice inside the hole couse its thick. If i do it with one loop is it untrusty?

I would go to the hardware store and get a U-boat that’s what I had to do on my bigger anchor I would definitely do two loops. Go back about five or six of my videos and I did anchor chain video and it shows the U-bolt check it out its got a picture of an anchor underwater in the thumbnail
