How to tie a blood knot faster and stronger

I'm kind of amazed that fly guys, who tie blood knots all the time, have never figured out (or at least publicly discussed ) this method of tying. I imagine this will be particularly beneficial when using a blood knot for a braid-to-leader connection (the Tactical Bassin’ guys swear by it…). The only time I’ve ever had any difficulty getting the blood knot to cinch properly is there, and every time I switch brands of line or line/leader strength, I have to try different numbers of turns until I figure out which combination works most consistently. Thanks for this.
