How to tie a killer early season fly- the Mop Fly (and make it durable)

How to tie the Mop Fly on a competition hook: a simple step by step guide for everyone, including beginning fly tyers. Early season trout fishing, especially in the Delayed Harvest waters, is a time for nymphs and streamers. This version of the Mop Fly is a killer fly for early spring when the trout are on the bottom. This fly tying tutorial features all the easy steps to produce this fly. This fly tying video features one of the patterns that has worked well on my trips to the South in the spring.
This fly tying video features a simple material- Mop chenille, a dubbed collar and a black bead. Simple stuff for a very effective pattern. If you watch the video to the end, you will be able to tie this very productive big fish fly, and even beginners will be able to do so.
