I was looking for exactly this right here, for the record no you don't have to be a Muslim to wear this , my grandmother wore one all the time because she said that a woman head should be covered and she shouldn't wear pants. She was a old school Christian.

I feel you. I am from the south and I have family members who never wore pants, showed their hair or legs. When we would visit, we had to wear skirts that at least cam well past the knees and at least a doilie on our heads.

Well, I just love this look and you are just as cute as a button with the scarves but I think I have a weird shaped head or something and scarves just will not stay on my head. Plus, I am white and I do not think I have that beautiful shaped head that women of color have. I wonder if the "under-scarf that you were talking about would solve some of my problems?

Most head wraps go with any head shape, just rock it w/confidence! As far as it falling off, if you have smooth hair, you may need the under scarf, although a stocking cap worked for me.

I think to call it a Hijab is a misnomer b/c African woman from various countries (who weren't Muslim) have been wrapping their hair like this for generations. Women in the Caribbean and Islands also wrap their heads. The styles that look like this that women who wear Hijab use is copied from African cultures.

I love the last look! I was looking for how to wear the bow tie look, but because I wear it for religious purposes, I needed it to cover my whole head (not just the top of it), so that was really helpful! I even added a little flair from another style (since my scarf is super super super long) and decided to add a swooping scarf look so that it hangs around my neck too!!
