I thought it was an easy work to tie bracelet now I'm sweating and I'm here😂
@ADee-nc7iv5 ай бұрын
You and me both, She is making a bracelet in like 5 minutes, I am on hour number 3 just trying to get the know right. Had to use baby powder to keep my hands from sweating but no matter how much I try the bracelet keeps exploding. Maybe I should just stick to buying jewelry instead of making it

First time I did any work with elastic thread. The knot kept coming off until I saw this video. This knot seems to be working better than anything I've seen yet. I have not cut the excess thread yet just to be sure that the knot is secure but seems promising. I will update this in about 24 hours if I remember. Please like this comment if I forget to give an update. Update: the knot has given me enough confidence to be able to cut the excess thread. Would recommend for anyone working with elastic thread.

How thick is your elastics? I do it the same way and it still gets loose, no matter how hard I pull the knot together

I got a 0.8 mm thread. Does this technique work on this thickness as well? Thank you for the tutorial. I’m scared my bracelets will fall apart but this gives me hope😂🫶🏼
@creativefnk10 ай бұрын
Yes it will but focus on pulling the knot secure and locking it into place. The bigger the cord the harder it can be. I also have another video with the knot I use for thicker cords so try this if you have trouble: m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4aYeZ-mqsqbfac&pp=ygUcRWxhc3RpYyBicmFjZWxldHMgdGhpY2sgY29yZA%3D%3D Good luck 👍

Where did you get elastic string?
@Ruspsycho Жыл бұрын
I don’t get the difference, with the toothpick or without, it’s still the same knot😅
@creativefnk Жыл бұрын
Yes! But the toothpick helps to tighten the elastic down closer to the beads, rather than the knot tightening together and then the bracelet is loose. If you can do it without, great! Just a tip I’ve found that helps 🌻

this doesnt work for me, my knot looks the exact same as yours but it just doesnt hold place :/
@tlojewelrylove6 ай бұрын
It's basically a square knot with an extra wrap. Square knots are very secure. When you tie it, you wrap the left side over right and then the right side over left (or vice versa) and she's added one more wrap for added security (she wrapped twice). I use square knots all the time to securely tie many things (strings, yarn, etc.) and when it's pulled tight enough, I can't untie it no matter how much I try. Did you wrap correctly (left over right/right over left) and stretch your cord enough to make the knot tight enough? Just curious.
