Thank you so much for this video. Emboldened, I bought some “Stretch Magic” thread in silver sparkle, and I tried making my first “Peace Bracelet” with all white wooden beads. The first attempt snapped at once, but second attempt succeeded! The second knot you showed worked best for my 1mm thread. Your voice is so kind and friendly, and you are an excellent teacher. Have a great day!

Can I use the more complex knot for the thinner cord to make it even more secure? Or will that not work?

Yeah, tying the knot is like open heart surgery. They make it looks so easy but like gardeners who have green thumbs, mine must be made of rubber. Wish there was a video on knot tying without the beads for practice

Thanks a lot, I had trouble retying a bead bracelet someone had given me as a gift. It fell and the string snapped, try as I may, I just couldn't tie it back up after reinserting the beads. I was trying to tie it as you would a balloon. Turns out, that's not how you're supposed to do it. This video helped a lot though!
If the customer says not to have a feature bead, what do you do

You need to try and get the knot inside the bead hole. You could do this by either using smaller elastic cord or beads with a hole big enough to fit the knot inside. Good luck 🤞

It keeps coming apart. I need a more secure knot because I don't have any glue

You might need to buy a different type of elastic. These knots can be tricky though so take extra time working the elastic and gently pulling it in all directions out from the knot to lock it in place. Good luck

@creativefnk thanks! I figured out a trick to make it less likely to slip and unravel - after completing the final knot and cutting the excess, use a lighter to melt or soften the ends of the cord that are sticking out, then immediately press them against something flat, which makes them splay a little. Hope this makes sense.
