How to Tie Reins to your Bit (Rip’s Version from Yellowstone)

Many years ago an old cowboy taught me how to tie my reins and headstalls in such a way that it would stay tied, but not be too hard to untie when the time came. Since then, this has been my favorite method. It is easy enough everyone can do it. You don’t have to have an abundance of strength to tie or untie.
It’s also how Rip taught Carter to tie the reins to the bit in the most recent season of Yellowstone. 😜 So here’s your “How to tie reins like Rip” segment. Or for those who don’t watch Yellowstone, here’s your new most useful tie. 🤠
