Used this pattern in Debois and Lander Wyoming recently. Worked well.

I can't believe that there are no comments on this fly.... Maybe it was just my box. I rarely make comments on anything. It has to be extreme for me to say a word online, BUT this box was JUNK!!! I live about 4 hours from my favorite fishing spots, I tie flies infrequently but am familiar with the process and techniques. I love PostFly because they make it easy and allow me to fit fly tying into my schedule. This box had issues. I don't remember when I got it. It had to be over 5 months ago. I finally got around to it and here are the issues: -None of the colors matched. This is minor but I had to substitute my own yarn (lucky I had it) for the color of the fly. -The hackle feathers were way too small for the effect that was achieved in the video and in the example fly. -There were only 10 hackle feathers in the packet. 12 flies, 10 hackle feathers.... this won't work -CDC provided in the box was too thick and didn't "dubb" well at all. I tried shredding it some to make it more fine, I tried dubbing wax (I never have to use that crap) and nothing worked. This may have been the biggest problem with the fly. I just couldn't build a body with the materials provided. I'm complaining about this, but still love the service. I still have 8 boxes backed up that I hope to get to this winter. This was a huge FAIL though. I tied two that I doubt will be fishable and gave up after two more. Hope you get a better result.

Because the fly doesn't work or the materials in the box were not good?
