That is actually one of the most useful and easiest knots to tie. Especially good when you get something tied down but need to be able to tighten or loosen it.

Great stuff! That and the ferrimond friction hitch are my go to guy lines when hanging my tarps

A better choice is the adjustable grip hitch or the Midshipman's hitch as my second choice. My "go to" is the adjustable grip hitch though. IGKT Member

One of my favorite knots. I usually tie it the wrong way (and I know it is wrong, I just prefer it). I have not found it to slip any more than the correct way, and I prefer the aesthetics of the wrong way, it looks more like a prusik knot.

You mean after the two inner rolls you go above the line and wrap the last roll in the opposite direction? That in fact is a stronger knot than the one shown in the video, where the tieing line crosses the rolls diagonally.

I heard this knot which is very beloved....I heard it can slip under a real heavy load.....so I back this up with a half hitch ender. Seems to help it take a heavy load a little better. I heard the farrimond friction hitch is stronger....what you guys think.?

Thank you, for random people like me, who just happened to stumble across this video and see you’re not bored at the end, could you please review the knots by name so that it gives information with the visual. Thank you

Why does it take over 7 mins for a knot tutorial especially for something so simple

Thx although it looked like you didn't really understand knots very well. Seemed like you saw a video on this and made your own. You used the word "this" a lot to describe what you didn't understand. Proper terminology is important when creating "how to" videos.
