Well thank you for going slow. You are very easy to listen to and thank you for teaching us. I enjoy doing these things. It's vital to know it!

this is something I needed to know. thank you. this is a update now that I am camping in a tent right now I plan to use the taunt line. I came in on the rain so I couldn't get much done except get my tent up and get some gear in here. I have a week to go

One of the best knots in my personal opinion. Use it all the time. (Learned it in Boy Scouts many years ago). First knot I taught my Son.
@kensmith5694 Жыл бұрын
I learned it as the "camper's knot". 3 turns instead of two will give it more grip.

It's great you're recording this in the rain (it's such a peaceful sound) and showing very clearly how to tie a taut line hitch in the exact conditions you'd use this infinitely useful knot. Many thanks.

I learned the taught line hitch in Boy Scouts. As an adult I learned the Blake's Hitch. I find it more secure in use and just as easy to tie.

Taut line hitch knot as you showed here (Making a loop by passing the short line or working line on top of standing or longer line, then 2nd loop same side & finally same direction but 1 loop on top of the standing or long line) along with bowline knot (Around large diameter objects) or clove hitch knot (For narrow diameter standing point) makes the very much needed to know knots to setting up a tent or hammock or likewise and everyone needs to know. Thanks for showing us so well and You are the wildest wilderness Man of All! Way to Go and BIG LIKE.
