With my pontoon boat, I only have 2 cleats on each side (ends). and the dock slip I will be at this summer is only the length of the boat 20 feet. Is it best to tie 2 long lines, bow to stern cleat and stern to bow cleat?

NO tie up bow to bow stern to stern run another line between both cleats front to rear as a springer or shock cushion which smoothens out the jerks and really works well in rough windy days along slip ties for the nites on board
