One time a rich kid pointed at laughed at my shoes because I could only do it the second way... The first way is the proper way to tie a shoe apparently 🤷‍♂

I never learn how to tie it properly so I just came up with my own technique. At first it's pretty much the 2nd method, but they come undone really easily, especially when you walk / run alot, so I made my own variation by doing the loop tying twice. But now, I know how to do the first method. It's solid and just aesthetically more appealing.

Yikes, where did you learn how to tie shoelaces? When you tie this way, the bow will twist and become vertical (i.e. perpendicular). Try making the first loop on the left hand side. That way bow stays horizontal (i.e. parallel).
