Don't forget to ensure the vehicle is warm by holding 3k rpm until fans come on. Then check timing

I changed my belt and my timing marks line up at tdc but i didnt adjust the ignition timing afterward since it was never mentioned in anything i read or any videos i watched, would that cause a misfire once it starts to warm up?

It sounds more like an ignition coil to me, I've had plenty of those go bad. Does it hesitate occasionally when load is put on the engine?

@@yebo3061 i actually have new ignition coil in there. I didnt have any issues until i changed the belt. It ran fine for a few minutes until it started to warm up and the rpms started jumping.

@@skoomacat13 if you don't have an ignition light you can just loosen the bolts and turn the distributor. I believe I had the same issue with this del sol, and advanced timing helped. (higher rpm)

From google I found all Honda engines are interference except the 3.0L and 3.2L

Turns over, but doesn't start? Yes its possible, especially if it's been messed with, but it would still usually spit and sputter or try to start even with the wrong timing. If it isn't attempting to start at all go back to the basics first, make sure its getting spark, and fuel.

Try swapping around iat & iacv plugs?? You might have them crossed..

Does this work on a y8 non vtec with no marks? I'm doing a head gasket replacement and wanna make sure when everything goes back together there isn't any issues. Also how can you do the ignition bit without that tool?

They are just on the side try to clean the pulley

christian dayrit as long as the timing marks are correct you will be fine. You’ll want to make sure the single line crank pulley) is at the timing mark. Yes you want to turn counter clockwise. You can message me if you have any more questions

I have a D15B7 Del Sol. Anyway to make it a little faster, more HP's... Like put a Different Header on it like a Vtech Head. I watched a video where this guy says he did that to his Engine.
