I tinted this car today and experienced the exact same thing. I was looking here to see if there was a technique that I wasn't familiar with that would help but I actually did this the exact same way you did. This was the second time I've tinted one of these and I remember it being hard the first time but this one really kicked my ass. I got it done with a few minor creases but with cars backing up outside I had to make the call to move on. It used to be the old 4dr Cutlass Supremes that were hard, now it's this car I guess.

That's what I'm worried about. Dealership wants $190 to remove the spoiler, and $299 for the tint. I'm worried that the spoiler won't be reinstalled right, and it vibrates going down the road.

This has been my issue recently i just got a 2021 sport hatch and I've had it for 3 weeks so I'm forsure not waiting anything taken apart I talked to one shop who bought a window for a hatch and they shrink it on the window and move it to the car and another uses two pieces and hides the line under the spoiler. I'm in modesto so not to far from you.

This cars back window is actually pretty easy to tint, if you know how to hand cut and do a defroster cut. Got it my first try and it came out flawless

You can shrink the coattails under the spoiler on the outside, BTW

These are definitely a pain! I did my first one a month or so ago and it took a long time three tries and we still just removed the spoiler. Uggh!

Man I had my first today, tried everything outside shrink, inside shrink took panel off and still could not get it, ended up 3 piecing it and i still didn't like it, Thanks for the video

rudy ayala hope this helps but the wet line you make is the trick. I can take the hatch off in about 15 minutes. Make your wet line maybe 2-3 inches higher than the wiper hole. I have a pic I wish I could post here. Wet line low and it’s cake, If it’s high it will be a nightmare.

I can't say that it would better but it would make the film shrinking much easier without it being there.
