I was thinkning of towing an empty paddleboard with a inflateable kayak as a backup. I am kayaking with a person with some mobilty issues. Would this be a viable safety plan?

Are you looking to tow an inflatable paddle board as a back up for yourself? Are you worried your kayak will get a hole and leak?
@cameranmanner47016 ай бұрын
@@PaddleAdventurer yes. If I do get a catastrophic leak, the person with me will now have a problem with returning to shore due to her condition. Having the paddle board along side me will help

Is your friend paddling? If so, what are they using and are you also towing them?
@cameranmanner47016 ай бұрын
@@PaddleAdventurer no the paddle board is back up only
@PaddleAdventurer6 ай бұрын
@@cameranmanner4701 This could work as a back-up. You're much better off paddling with something you trust and be sure to wear a PFD. If you're concerned you can also stick close to shore. Let me know how it goes!
