Jake, You asked about the difference between the Bollinger Bands and the Keltner Channels. You're correct that the Bollinger Bands indicate Standard Deviation. The Keltner Channels outer bands are measured using ATR. Quick Tip, If you adjust the Bollinger Bands upward from 2std dev (default setting) to 2.5 or 3 std deviation it becomes an excellent overbought and oversold indicator. The TTM Squeeze will still use a 2std deviation Bollinger Band when determining the Green and Red dots on the zero line.

Is that right!?

@@BMartin1776 Absolutely. Adjust the settings and take a look at your chart and you'll quickly see what I'm talking about. *Hint - for securities with very low volatility you won't need anything beyond 2.5 Std Dev. But for most securities I prefer 3 Std Dev. Sometimes I just put both (2.5 & 3) Std Devs on my chart rather than switching back and forth.

thank you for this explanation. it is helpful. at 11:45 I wish to comment that price action does not follow Bollinger Bands, but rather Bollinger bands follow the price action. Technical indicators are not inherently predictive of price but reactive to price.

Nice video/example explaining how this works! This is one of John Carter's indicators that I first learned to use when reading his book "Mastering the Trade". He gives a ton of examples from his past trades on how he uses it and explains how to find an entry sometimes 3-5 red dots before the stock makes it's move. Awesome book if you haven't read it.

"explains how to find an entry sometimes 3-5 red dots before the stock makes it's move" thats dangerous Ive seen stocks tank on nice setups! WAIT for it to fire. read my comment ^

I used ttm squeeze when I started using thinkorswim. Consolidating when in a squeeze. Similar to avwap pinch which I’m starting to like more

Wish the guest had shown how to scan for actionable positions. Just looking at his charts and my own, this indicator is not something that can be used for action prior to a breakout/breakdown as it appears to be yet another trailing indicator of what has already happened. And we have enough of those already.

I could leave that comment in almost any stock trading video I've watched. Very frustrating when you don't know how to find these stocks till after they've moved.
