I have only recently come upon your videos and find them to be OUTSTANDING!! I am a 35 year USPTA pro. I have always been amazed the coaches that do not get the differences in coaching boys and girls. I have had a great deal of success with junior girls as I made it my business years ago to study coaching the girls both physically and mentally.I have noticed that the last couple of years that I am getting 50-60 yo males coming to me because some younger pros are asking them to do things they simply can no longer do.We must always coach from the standpoint of the individual.THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO FOR TENNIS.

"Don't reach - run! … Small steps - get to the ball." Excellent, Coach. I tell my students: "If you find yourself stooping or leaning to get to the ball you are not close enough. Move those feet. Feet first. Think feet first." As always - the best tennis training videos on the web courtesy of Coach Spatz.

Hi Daniel, love your video!!! Could you tell me please, how heavy racquet should be for 11-12 year old girl? And what size of grip would be better for her: 4 1/3 or 4 3/4? Looking forward to hear from you. Thanks. Lucy

Thank you, Daniel. I watched this 3 times in a row. I'm going to use this blueprint for our club team practices for a while. Love it. We have a good team, but I've been trying to figure out how we always make it out of city but never out of sectionals. This video has the answer - intensity. Again thank you!

***** Thanks you Victor!!! Where are you teaching? :)
@victortan696410 жыл бұрын
It's not as noble as teaching. I'm doing this for selfish reasons - I'm a frustrated league captain. We've been to sectionals several times. Our most successful teams are the ones that practice the most, but I've known we need just a little more. We offer drills and practices and get pros to teach lessons. This video was just an Aha moment for me. So thank you again.

Excellent I love it I have a question What do you do when you have a lady 40+ good player likes to hit very hard but a lot of mistakes, do you think developing her power in her strokes or teach her long rallies and stay stable with no unforced errors? Thank you for your help
@SpatzTennis4 жыл бұрын
yes but without losing her aggressiveness ! Thanks!

Dear coach, your teaching technique and your energy is really different and excellent. However, you’re absolutely right about that language issue. As international players we expect more videos in English since it is a real trouble watching your videos in Spanish.

I was always taught to really pick your spots when changing direction. To mainly keep hitting it and rallying in the same direction. When you change direction, the odds of unforced error increase a lot
