well he certainly wont, its entirely up to Dreamworks.....I can see they might return to this franchise given time and especially if their other movies dont do as well as they old ones... BUT I want it to happen only if they have some fresh new ideas.....Its kind of hard to bring anything more to Hiccup and Toothless storyline that hasnt already been gone through without it starting to feel repetititive, so if anything the story should then focus on their children. But overall I dont want them to see making more movies just for the sake of it, there must be good story for it and also something new that would add to this world and franchise while also ofc keeping the same high quality. All good things have to come to end sooner or later, that just how it is.... I mean take Shrek for example....Dreamworks made 2 succesfull movies with it, but then many people hated the 3rd and 4th movies....and now that they are trying to bring the franchise back with 5th movie, they found out that its not so easy trying to figure out how it would feel fresh and justified without trying to make it completely different, but not repeating the same stuff from previous movies.....that is big challenge for any franchise that goes on for long time and that is why its sometimes better to stop than try to push it on year after year and sequel after sequel.... So yes as much Im going to miss Toothless (honestly there is so much longing and nostalgia in my heart now whenever I just think about it), at the same time I could already tell from 3rd movie that the whole threat posed by other humans/vikings out there wanting to either capture or kill dragons and the plot build around that was starting to get bit tired....Honestly this movie would not have even included Grimmel, but some other threat or villain and I would have likely enjoyed it just as much....the first movie didnt even have any such "villain" as in 2nd and 3rd movies and yet it was my favorite of the 3. So ye, considering all that I only wish there to be more movies if they can really come up with some new ideas, which is really easier said than done. And if they cant, then sometimes its better to just move on and leave the franchise as it is than trying to forcefully extended it with movies that would feel just recycled. I would never grow tired of seeing more Toothless and thus would like to see more, but if there isnt good and new story to support new movies, then they shouldnt make more.

Balnazzardi i 100% agreed with you! I don’t want another httyd if story just the same like old movies. We need new story but i am happy with the httyd 3 ending. It’s so touching and beautiful. I was writing the comment bcz i was so sad but i move on now even thou i miss those characters so much especially toothless 😭. They are always in my heart ♥️

This was an absolutely perfect trilogy. I love everything about these movies. However, I hope Dreamworks lets this trilogy be. I'd love to see a spinoff series of when the Dragons come back, though!
