I have been trying to do this for a while now on my father in laws new phone.. His old phone which he brought to US from India does NOT have roaming...so when I try to do this , I get the message the 'xxxxxxxxxxx' number if out of network or turned off. Should his Airtel number in India be on US international roaming plan?

It’s impossible to transfer Airtel esim transfer while on international roaming. Normal eSIM activation is also tiresome in India
