Make sure you input the Username and pass of the other MAC. It seems to default to the username of the current the Mac when making the connection.

I have a question: what is the password you need to connect both Mac’s? I tried the password I use to unlock my Mac and my iCloud password and neither worked… :(

Same here, used the same pass to unlock the Mac's . Getting msg "Access to your account on the server "NAME OF THE OTHER MAC" has been denied. Must be another permissions settings somewhere? Seeing both MAcs on the network. Both on Sequoia.
