How to transfer from a wheelchair to a couch - C7 Quadriplegic

When I am in my wheelchair it feels like I am standing up so when everyone else sits down I want to "sit down" with them. When I transfer to the couch it then it feels like I am sitting down and I can relax.
I didn't realize this transfer was going to be so hard as I haven't transferred to the couch in a while and my pregnant belly is getting in the way.

Love this video!!! I have seen you do a couch transfer in a few other videos over the years, but they were only getting on - not off. I have always wondered what the getting off process looked like. I am in a wheelchair too, but rarely transfer onto furniture as it is a difficult process. I am much more comfortable staying in my chair 😊

Congrats and congrats Meg 👍👍!!! Did you say you are more pregnant in this video? Did I hear that right? I once asked a lady in a store when she was due and almost got hit. I have NEVER assumed anyone was pregnant since...dangerous territory there. But is that what you said? You have triceps 🤔? Are you sure 😂? Not many quads I know of, including me (C4 incomplete) have triceps.

@@KeepOnRollin congrats!!! Is this your first...and I definitely look a few videos back. I'm C4-C6 and have triceps...but I think they are mainly to look at...lol. I can do tricep exercises, but they won't develop.
