I still have iTunes 12 (whichever their most recently patched release was, which was pushed so much later that it requires a manual download of the installer) specifically to download apps. Shame it doesn't back up apps and data from the iDevices as older versions did, but the capacity for having these apps backed up, paired with tools like iMazing, is a relief all these years of delisted content later.

worked like a magic. But one thing. You dont necessarily need to connect both the devices simultaneously in case you dont have two cables. you can first connect the devise which has the app, export the ipa, then remove devise and connect other devise, import ipa and then install.

Just in case anyone else needs the info. If the old app had purchased assets or features, this approach will not work. As Jack tells in the video, it "fresh installs" the application. If you want to transfer that already purchased data, you have to transfer the whole already installed app with the application data from one phone to the other. (or iPad to iPhone). You can do that if you go to the "Device" tab instead of the "library" tab, and select the app you want and export. you will get a .imazingapp file, then you go to the other device into the "device" tab again and import that. That will execute a "Partial update" of the iPhone and will reset with the new app "restored" from the backup. Hope it helps people. I have been searching for a solution like this for 6 years and just migrated all my content today. Thanks to this video.

Doesn't work for me unfortunately. After clicking "download app" I'm prompted to sign into the app store, then I'm prompted to enter 2FA info for the app store, which I don't have set up. Clicking "skip" just loops me back to the app store sign-in prompt.

You should be getting the 2fa code show up on your apple device. This is used to sign into the apple ID, or thr App Store. Type in the 6 long number that shows on screen on one of your apple devices that are signed into that Apple ID.
