Salaam alaikum, What does it mean when one is plagued by strong Waswasa and how can I counteract it? I practice, wear hidjaab and do not neglect any of my duties, al hamdulillah. I converted 25 years ago and have never stopped practicing since. I assume that this annoys the Shaitan a lot. The problem is that he is now convincing me of sins from the past that I have not committed 100%. It is a complete lie of the Shaitan. Nevertheless, he managed to make me turn in the carousel of thoughts every day and ask myself anew every day, "Are you sure?". Yes, I am sure that I am in control of my senses. But I still have to deal with it every day and I don't know how to break this carousel of thoughts. The Waswasa are very strong. And meanwhile cause depression. Every day he asks me? "Are you sure too?" It robs me of the strength to focus on the present. How is such a thing possible? And how can I stop it? How can the Shaitan tell you a lie that you can expose as such and then you still ask yourself every day. Salaam alaikum
