Apparently in poe2 chaos damage does not bypass ES, instead it deals 2x damage. In this case you can ignore whatever I mentioned about chaos damage and effective health pool etc. Poison does bypass energy shield, so I would recommend running the charm which removes poison when we get poisoned.

@ totally agree! Your guides have been the best for minion builds. I really appreciate it! On next can you do the skill slots on which should come first for gems on each skill, that would be awesome! I’m just over 60 now, but I think others would love it!

I swapped to ES at lvl89, and now I'm lvl 93 and have died a grand total of 0 times in that time. The only thing that can kill me is the increased magnitude of poison from expedition remnants, that one is very scary with this build and should be avoided at all cost. I almost died to this with 55% chaos resist, but was saved by an omen that fully recovers life and ES at low life.

I might be wrong, but i think i read chaos dmg just does 2x dmg to es and only poison bypasses es

I appreciate you making this video and continually just wanting to improve the build! I'm with you in thinking GF is going to get nerfed and so I think I'm just gonna stick with my pure MoM build for now, but I'm also VERY early in the endgame. Maybe I'll just passively keep ES gear in the stashes and swap if I feel like I can't survive once I get to those higher maps you're running?

so if only poison bypasses ES then, where does that leave chaos innoc? does poison come under chaos dam still....?

I think poison still comes under chaos damage indeed, but is I guess codes a step further - instead of doing 2x ES damage, it just bypasses it. Not 100% though, seems a bit different in poe2.

It works for sure. Mobalytics is just crashing a lot so sometimes it errors out, but it's a mobalytics issue, not the link. Can't wait for PoB2 so don't have to rely on Mobalytics etc

I didn't replace it with anything, there's not all that much stuff you can put into vulnerability. I think I have a 6-link setup in my mobalytics guide, so I would just cut that down to a 5-link without Lifetap.

chaos damage does not bypass es in PoE2, poison and bleed damage however do. Chaos Damage deals twice as much damage to ES instead. youre also immune to bleeding while having Energy shield (only works on life damage)

Have you experimented with skeleton brutes all in for max HP and infernal legion link gem ?

Yes but I don't think it's stronger than pure Reavers. You need to invest a fair bit into minion health for it to deal reasonable damage. I think there's room for a build like that out there but think we need a couple more pieces in the game to make it really good.

Does the inherit rage loss node prolonged fury in the tree affect reaver minions?

@@ChrisM-jv2rw In PoE, when it comes to minions, the logic usually goes that if something doesn't mention minions, it doesn't work for minions. It was always like that in poe1 and seems so for poe2.

Why keep a belt that recovers mana when switching to ES?

Of course you shouldn't. I guess I should have mentioned that if you were, you shouldn't use the unique belt (Midnight Braid) with ES, although it's kinda obvious. I forgot because I don't use it anyway and instead use a rare belt with +2 charm slots and resists/life.

I'm using MoM and while I do know that grim feast is stronger, I'm also 99.9999% sure that it's at the top of list of what's to be nerfed next.

yea i do both lol. ES and MOM cause its all defense since I'm already rocking no button build for reaver. Also =D, the other method of rocking more crit is JEWELS +D. I have 15 JEWELS using the outer rim, every 5 points = one jewel socket so I already circle the passive tree at level 90. all jewels are +energy shield , minion crit chance, minion crit damage bonus. So im at 461% crit damage bonus on my minions. Less survivability but my set up is just 8 reavers and 5 clerics alongside Blink, Blasphemy Vulnerability, grim feast. works very well lol, surprised on how easy to scale crit in this game =D and they help scale my FOCUS so my es is at 3k without any nods increasing energy shield on passive skill tree. This is definitely favoring those who enjoy planning skill trees lol.

Cool strat, although I'm not convinced it's the optimal one, haha. But yep, I run minion crit chance/crit damage jewels too, scales very quickly and is super strong.
