It would be better to remove some of the old used soil from the roots. It frees the roots better and brings more fresh soil in the new pot.

Hi, what you do when you reach maximum size container that you can lift and have space for? Rot pruning every year?

Yes, we prune every year! This is a good question, I think our move for next year is to plant them directly in the soil in a new greenhouse. Not sure yet though!

@@AliHassan-do7zd I would say go a bit bigger if you can. Figs have increasingly dense root balls, they need space to expand. The pots we used in this video are 15gallon

@@AngeloGrinceri how many kgs does a 15 gallon container weight? I have mine in a glassed balcony so it's a bit limited size
