@@GeorgeSoan On the west coast, Achill island is amazing, Connemara is amazing and so is County Donegal. If you're in Dublin again, Glendalough in Co Wicklow is very pretty also. Hope you guys get out to the Skelligs the next time. Nice to see your appreciation of history.

brings back some great memories of my wife and my trip to UK/Europe back in June/July 2023, we went to Ireland ; Ring of Kerry, Dublin, Galway, Belfast, Killarney, Cliffs of Mohr, Waterford (crystal factory) ... we had Guinness at the Storehouse at 10am , just a touch early for me for a drink but still drunk a pint, we had some of that famous Irish weather as well, Cheers Garry

Wow the Irish weather really is a force to be reckoned with but then the sunshine and warmth comes through and another side of this beautiful Island is revealed. Such an interesting and informative video and as mentioned the drive via the backroad is as good as the scenic routes in NZ. A very enjoyable watch 😊

Stylish video of Ireland, thank you. Next time maybe also take in a game of hurling , try a high profile game maybe in Croke Park in June/July or do a tour of the stadium. Also, down around Kerry try the sea food chowder with a nice Guinness 😊

Thanks for watching and leaving a nice comment! We used Google maps to plan the routes which gave the best travel routes and times on the day (depending on the traffic). We used an app called Airalo to get data overseas. Enjoy!

Awesome and thanks for this, looking forward to a trip with my family. Quesiton, would you say your route was "jam packed full" and couldn't fit much more? I have family wanting to visit North, West, and South but it seems a bit much for a 7-8 day trip.
@GeorgeSoan Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Really appreciate the comment. I would say our trip was jam packed, but it depends on what would be your priority to see. For me, Galway, Cliffs of Moher, Gap of Dunloe and Cliffs of Kerry are must dos. One option I heard someone doing was to fly into Dublin, rent a car, then fly out of a different city (like Cork in the South or Belfast in the North. That should save a whole driving day as we spent half a day driving from Cork to Dublin. Hope that helps and enjoy your trip! :)
@carlfrier28737 ай бұрын
you mentioned you would have like an extra night in Galway if you were planning no again how many nights would you allow for a self drive? I was thinking 11 nights which give 10 full days. Out of your 7 days giving an extra night in Galway where else would you add more time, or would have like to seen but didnt have time. thanks
@GeorgeSoan7 ай бұрын
11 nights sounds like an ideal amount of time! Definitely one more night in Galway. We didn’t have time to go to Dingle, but that looks nice. Also a night in Cork would have been great.

Thanks for all the tips! Im planning a 10 day trip but im not wanting to switch accomm every day and prefer to have a base. Do you think its doable if i spent half the time in dublin or surrounds and other half in either galway/killarney and surrounds or do you think you kind of have to move around to do it effectively?
@GeorgeSoan11 ай бұрын
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching! I would recommend 3 days in Dublin, 3 days in Galway and 3 days in Killarney. I wish we had an extra day to spend in Cork because there’s lots to see and do down there! Hope that helps and have an awesome time!!
