Omg I needed this video! We are pcsing with our GoldenDoodle in June and I’m so nervous! I wish I would have known about the 180 quarantine 😭 we planned to stay at an Airbnb until housed because is way cheaper than the Navy Lodge but now this just changed everything 😅 but I’d much rather know than be blindsided! Another question. For my understanding pets aren’t allowed on the regular shuttle from Yokota to base. Is that true? And if so, what transportation service did you guys use? Do I have to set something up in advance or will we be able to do that upon arrival?

Yes, that is correct there is a separate vehicle for pets that you need to setup ahead of time so they are at the airport. We set up the pet shuttle by emailing [e-mail] they also have a Facebook page called FAST Connect Yokosuka

I have a question about your orders to Japan, Was japan on your dream list of bases or is there a specific reason why you got sent to japan or was it just a random base you guys got orders to?

That’s a funny story. We never envisioned moving to Japan but we always wanted to visit and my husband called his detailer to see what orders were available and it happened to be. We jumped on it and never looked back. I’m so glad we did. Living here has been amazing!!

Super helpful video! I’m in a similar situation. My dog doesn’t like car rides and has never flown. Is Trazodone the medication your vet recommended?

I’m glad you found it helpful. Yes, that’s what the vet prescribed for her. We tried it out prior to the move to make sure she was good and to see how it affected her. She did well with it.

We flew from Dulles to Seattle with Delta airline then from Seattle to Yokota we took a military flight.
