I love the way you handle your pigs, I'm having a problem with one of my girls and need a little help please , I honestly cannot find any info to help her. Went out to feed the pigs this morning and 1 of my females is just standing there drooling , it looked like she tried to throw up but she didn't. She didn't eat just stood there. All other pigs are energetic and eating like normal. It has bee really rainy here at night and hot in the days , pen usually is split in 2 sections , 1 section dry the other is normal wet. Latly everything is wet. I'm sure this is contributing to her issue . Any help would be appreciated

Good morning! Sounds like your pig might be suffering from bloat or may have over eaten. It is suggested that you hold food for up to 24 hours. Offer small amounts of water the first 6 hours, then free choice. She may also have a blockage. I know it will be difficult especially since she's in a pen with other pigs. In the meanwhile while she is just standing around try and get a rectal temp. If she has a temp then we can rule bloat out, and then we can go the antibiotic route. I hope this helps.

@@autumnacreshomestead6397 thank you for the response after watching your video and typing this I took off to the store and grabbed advil liquid and antibiotics, hen I got home 2 hours maybe , she was fine ! I gave her Advil just to help if any issue , kept my eyes on her all evening and this morning she is good, just a panicked parent , thank you very much

I don't have a vet but yesterday I noticed pig laying down I offered food amd wouldn't want to eat. She did drink a little bit of water and laid on the puddle of water but hardly moves around. This morning she hasn't gotten up amd is making noises. What do I do??

@Elipoop is your pig vomiting? And what did it eat to cause bloat? Sometimes if they consume too much salt or products that contain alcohol (bread can actually cause fermentation) they can get sick too. Hold food for 12-24 hours. If your pig is not vomiting you'll want to induce that.

Also, a rectal prolapse is a common cause of bloat because they can not poop
