I smashed my thumb in the door of my truck yesterday and the pain was so bad that I couldn’t sleep all night, finally passed out from exhaustion for an hour or so then the pain woke me back up, the pain radiates half way up my arm even though it’s just my thumb that was smashed. I tried everything with no avail, ibuprofen, aspirin, warm, cold, elevating. Still hurts so back that it literally makes me sweat. I don’t know why the pain is so intense, I’ve smashed fingers before and none have ever come close to hurting this bad. If anyone out there is dealing with the same issue, I truly feel sorry for you. Best advice is to try to get some real pain meds from a doctor if possible. If not then try taking kratom If it’s legal where you are. I just tried it and it calmed the pain down significantly to where I can actually get some rest.. good luck

@@jeremyjones7065 it’s doing good now, those first 2 nights were the worse. Pretty sure that my thumb nail will eventually come off but maybe I saved it since I drilled the hole in it early which allowed it to drain, it drained for 3 days.

I once during my exams opened my classroom door and smashed my finger against the wall that I didnt know I was bleeding badly after 10 seconds, then I had to legit do a rest break exam, but I really couldnt concentrate and had to stop.

And it worked but I got it crushed in a gate it one week but my brother did it a a long time ago and it took longer so it does work and it makes your finger feel better than just the straight painfulness of your finger being in pain

This might work but from me it help a little and makes the pain go down do that helps you a lot do your finger does not touch any thing also it takes over 2 hours for the ice to num or At least a when I iced my finger but any way wait untill num then then I would say put a pillow underneath your find wait untill cold but if it starts to hurt put ice on the pillow that has your finger is on (repeat as many times a needed) when your finger is a little num and is cold wait untill it turns warm and at least feel a little better

So today at school I pulled a push door and got my right middle finger caught in a door and although it sounds like nothing it hurt so bad. It throbbed and stung so much and felt hot and tingly and it swelled and the tip looks bent and it all still feels like it. And it felt sort of numb and I'm scared the swelling underneath my finger might turn into a small boil and since it was on my right hand it was hard for me to write and I ran it under cold water for a tiny bit and just sucked it up. I just hope this shit will heal 💀

How did it work out for you I smashed my finger in the laundry room door and no it's throbbing like crazy my finger have a fever it hurts, I put some antibiotic ointment on it and wrap it with a Band-Aid hope the swelling and throbbing will go away by daybreak, how did yours work out?

I dont know what to do,yesterday i was off sick from school,later in the afternoon I gone to my moms bedroom to ask her about something ,I rested my finger around the door hinge area then while I was talking to my mom my sister gone to the bathroom,she closed the door fully and my finger was squashed so i yelled to my mom to help and i told my sister to open the door and next thing i knew my finger was hurt and I could barely move it i am writing this while in the same state does anyone have advice?

Oh man! So sad to hear about your hard smashed! 😥. It must be so painful! Immediately you should have put ice on the pain surface. As well kep rubbing ice gently.. Takes precaution and can care, finger must not get any more hit while u carry out persona activities or anything else.. Plz visit, doctors. Take advise and medicine, Get some pain killer. My husband smashed his thumb with a hammer today and was in so much pain and his nail had turned blue/black. He just took a needle and lit the end of it with a lighter and used it along with applying pressure to the nail. When it finally went through the nail, a lot of blood started coming out and he had immediate relief. The pressure of all the blood not having anywhere to go was causing the pain.
