Well, if she is feeling that good I'd say she is back to normal. 😁

Did she excrete anything while egg bound? My girl has been excreting clear liquid with a little yellow but it does look like egg. And her hind it is very messy like yours. Her vent is active but not swollen like yours.

She never excreted anything for me - she ended up living another 2 months, and then died randomly. Never laid another egg after this incident either..

Sometimes it can be bloody! Especially if an egg broke inside her 🙃

… is there any particular reason for this to occur ?
@HomesteadCortes Жыл бұрын
Bunch of reasons. Random, diet, worms, stress, age, dehydration, recent illness that they are recovering from If your hens start to be more and more egg bound, then it wouldn’t be random & somethings going on. But I’ve had chickens for a few years now, and only have dealt with it about twice now. People say it’s not common but I think it is 🤷🏻♀️ I think every owner deals with it Atleast once

@@HomesteadCortes … we lost three chickens recently to a hawk (2 roosters and a hen) … and the remaining survivor, our egg layer has not left her nest, that I have noticed … maybe she went broody … but I’m sure she must have been traumatized … 😞 …
