THANKS for the tips! PAPER TOWELS are very absorbent so whatever you spray near it will SOAK ALL THE WAY THROUGH. Use plastic saran wrap to protect areas you don't want sprayed. Great ideas in your videos, so thank you a lot!

I bought a pochette metis reverse and my S lock thing was crooked too...when I brought it back they told me when I close it the flap just had to be re adjusted...I refused to accept that so I exchanged for another too. $2,000 for a bag that is not perfect is not acceptable!!

Thank-you for this video. I bought my daughter a mono delightful , pre loved. It is in very good condition & we want it to stay that way. She is a college student & since the delightful is a big bag she wants to be able to get use without babying it to the extreme. I treat all my shoes, purses, and wallets with leather oils, salves, or sprays before wearing. Some multiple times a year, others, when I am shifting seasons. I used apple brand garde on the vachetta on my neverfull and it looks great!! I havent reapplied since the first time i applied it (2 years ago) and the patina has colored but its still stain free of water marks and such

I think LV have had a LOT of returns and issues with this bag lately and are obviously trying to draw a line with what they believe to be "nothing wrong" tbh, it seems to me like the popularity of this bag increased the demand and they are rushing its production! If. I save up my hard earned money, finally purchase a bag, I expect perfection! It was definitely crooked, they are wrong about that!

if the inside pocket has four small holes where the lock is that is for the four star screws that you can loosen and straighten out the lock and also to remove to clean the lock without damaging the canvass . i remove mine to clean

I'm surprised LV customer service would say such a thing to a loyal customer and a prominent influencer. If anything, they should have offered you their apologies and given you a free SLG. Just from watching your videos the past few months, I have fallen back in love with LV and purchased a pochette metis for myself! Your Pochette Metis looks perfect 😍👌🏼 The original one was definitely crooked. That is so upsetting that they called you just tell you there was nothing wrong with the bag. We all saw it very clearly and it was too obvious to not send back. I recently brought in my Empriente Key Pouch in noir, that was in perfect condition until just a few weeks of having it, it started to peel. When I took it in, the store manager gave me the run around about it being natural leather and that it happens to natural material. I asked if she's seen or heard of this happening with other empriente leather pieces and she said, "Honestly, no." 😾 She also peeled off the piece, which seemed like a piece of clear plastic coating and said, "Oh, it was just a sticky thing that got stuck to your wallet." 🤔 I rubbed at it and picked at, before taking it in, to make sure it was actually part of the leather. I pretty much double checked that I wasn't crazy and seeing things, but it was really part of the leather. I closely examined it after she peeled it off and I could see the exact spot where she peeled it off. It looked grainy and faded in that spot. She went on to tell me that all I could do was exchange it for the exact wallet style. I looked at the one they had, which was only one in stock and it looked used compared to my key pouch. The leather was worn and not as stiff. It honestly looked like one that was returned. I just told her that I'd sleep on it. She could tell was irritated and that's when she all of a sudden was nice and gave me her card. Instead, the next day I took it into a different store and had the exact opposite experience. A sales associate, not the manager, took one look at my wallet and said, "Louis Vuitton stands behind our products and if you ever find anything wrong with anything you purchase then definitely bring it in." She brought my wallet to her manager and came back out and told me that I could exchange for anything in the store with the credited amount that I payed for my wallet. Just the difference in customer service was crazy to me and to think that the first lady I dealt with was a manager, who really should have known better is even more crazy to me. Oh and she also told me that, "most people wouldn't even notice it." 😤 My husband noticed it, my Mother-in-law noticed it through FaceTime and my Aunt, who was with me when I brought it in the store, noticed it too. Well, I'm not most people and when I pay a pretty penny for something you better believe that I'm gonna be picky and notice EVERYTHING 😏 Sorry for the rant, but I thought I should share ☺ Also, it wasn't just that one piece that peeled, the glazing on the edge was peeling too 😩

Hey Shea, Long time viewer. :) I’d love to see an update video on this now that it’s been a few years. Have you noticed any differences? Do you recommend to do this with brand new bags or do you think it’s better to let the bag be for a bit before you spray?

I heard it is better to do it on brand new bags as the vachetta hasn't absorbed any of your natural skin oils or dirt from the outside air. If you wanted to do it with your bags you've had for a while, I've heard you can just wipe it down with a damp microfiber cloth to get the dirt and oils off before you spray it down with this product. Apparently where many people go wrong with this product is using it on bags they've had for a while but didn't wipe down before use. This is just a thing I've heard, so please take it with a grain of salt! I bet it will work fine though, and I'm about to just wipe down my multi-pochette accessoires and go ahead and do it. Hope you see this :)

I showed my husband your unboxing video and we had a good laugh because that was my reaction *exactly* when I opened mine! I took it to the LV store today and the manager agreed it was not centered properly and thus defective (it doesn't lock properly either- it pops open). Geez Louise! When I used Apple Guard on my bag, I got a gray film of dirt on the vachetta within a couple of weeks. It did not seem to have darkened the vachetta, and it does prevent water stains.

to.esselle I had a similar experience with Gucci when a small piece of hardware came off after only 2 days of using the bag. I was told I must have been "too rough" with it because their hardware is adequately secured & they never heard this complaint before. They suggested I send it back (at my own expense). They returned it back to me untouched saying there were unable to repair it. It took me awhile to save up for it & I am sad that a company like Gucci does not stand behind their products.

I'm glad that you left that part about LV in the end. If they don't see anything wrong with it, does that mean they will put it back into stock and ship it to someone else? Also, I noticed it as soon as you pulled it out of the dust bag. I ordered the Palm Springs mini backpack online because the closest store is like 6-7 hours away and I really looked over the bag after seeing reviews about quality issues such as crooked canvas/leather tab.

One time LV replaced one of my bag due to manufacturer defect. The SA gave me a new one that the edging was all misaligned. It was so poorly sewn. I pointed out to her she looked like I'm crazy and made me felt like I'm the one w a problem. Even my bf who is not even into the little details saw how messed up the new one was. The SA just kept forcing the bag on me and has the nastiest attitude saying it's supposed to be like that. When clearly the same bag in a dif color didn't look like that. I can tell u a million stories. I spent over 10k at LV on handbags in a 3 month span and 3 of them all had issues. N I barley used them. Only on the wknd to dinner. I'm not in any way trying to bash LV. Love the brand. But their quality has gone down considerably.

Did you find the Apple gard to have changed the feeling of the vachetta handle? Or did it feel the same? For example, I sprayed my Gucci soho disco with collonil to prevent color transfer but did notice the leather felt a bit different after. I used leather conditioner and it was back to normal but was curious about your experience 😊

LV is interesting sometimes. They insisted on a "title" at one point when I ordered from them online. (My local store wouldn't help me, weirdly enough.) I put Dr. because that is technically my title. Imagine my surprise when I logged in a year later to order something and they had me as Dr (Mr)! So they're not always "correct." Your bag was definitely crooked.

Nice review again Shea! Quick question on Apple Guard protectant. Have you noticed if the leather has patina since you applied protectant? Because I would still like to have patina, after applying the protectant. Also, as far as resale value is concerned, do you think applying protectant will affect resale value in the future? Hello!! The leather has ever so slightly patina'd...and it will continue to do so over time. It definitely doesn't stop the patina from happening! As far as re-sale value..I don't think it will affect it!
