You know, what this woman presents is common sense. She says treat a woman like your mother and grandmother told you to treat them. Dale Carnegie said using a person's name makes them feel good. Just talk to them, if they are interested it will grow, if not move on.

Super Bowl winning quarterbacks do NOT run the offense from a playbook with only two plays in it. No.... offensive playbooks have 50 or more. You want to up your game and be competitive? Work it! Be authentic! So many guys out there are clueless not knowing they need to unlearn all the feminized bullshit society and Hollywood have taught them (which, frankly, is how to be wusses.....)

I heard men who use emojis appropriately get laid more often. I'll rethink this, especially with women my ancient age. 🤔 Also, my lady friends are highly literate and use proper grammar and punctuation at all times. I've been well trained to be chivalrous and pay attention to what they like. Not every woman wants dead flowers, sweet chocolate, or exotic wine. Especially not chocolate wine🤮.

Be yourself and allow her to be herself. See if there's any mutual attraction/interest there. If not, next contestant. Don't jump through hoops for anyone. You want someone to be interested in you for your genuine self and you should be looking to see who they genuinely are as well.

@Abe Garfield Whatever your best self is, it's for you. Not anyone else. You should be whatever "you" that makes you happy. You never have to justify yourself to anyone other than yourself at any time or for any reason. If someone thinks you should, that's not a person you want in your life.
@hyreonk

Being genuine is 100% priority, I would agree and I believe Anna would as well. But there's no harm in going the extra mile to start. Younger people who don't socialize too often, like myself, find this material very enlightening, because I really don't have an "authentic" style of conversation yet. For me, authenticity is limited to what I communicate, not how I say it, so adopting these doesn't make unlike myself - and it seems fun :) Being your "best" self isn't strictly necessary. You want someone who's attracted to and comfortable with who you normally are, not you on your very best of days. And your personal happiness isn't the only thing you need to consider. I don't think that's what you're saying, but that sort of pride is cancer to your moral sensibilities. To have good self-esteem and think of yourself as valuable is good if you have a grounding for it, which just means you will need a grounding for it. But to boldly assert it just isn't rational.

"what's up/hey text" are bad because you're asking the other person to carry the conversation and make it interesting. So if you get anymore then that from a girl (looking at you bumble) then it means she is greater than average interested. So make the most of it by avoiding complementing and immediately ask her questions asap to open up. Don't wait for the sake of waiting. She's indicated she really want to invest asap, let her carry the conversation. I don't have a problem with that as long as the conversation spikes emotions and is man to woman, not small talk

First, thank you for the hints. I got to say though that this is just exhausting. Communication should not be so complicated. What about just meeting a guy halfway? I don't like the idea that texting is anything more than information exchanged between 2 people. The way it is designed is impersonal in the lack of inflection. I'd always rather talk on the phone, you know, with our voices. The more I here about how to approach women the less I want too these days. I think that texting has become so prevalent that many people don't even answer their phone when it rings anymore. It is a symptom of the go to disconnect in our culture. I think the best tip is text only when necessary. I consider texting a cheap and lazy attempt at an opportunity to reach out.The dumb jokes (most are) could easily be misunderstood via text vs the tonality and delivery or exaggeration used by your voice. I'd rather be thought of as boring than some immature douche for attempting trite humor. Typing just sucks. Think about it, I'm standing here with a phone in my hand and I am typing rather than talking. How about "Are you available?" It tells the other person I want to reach out and speak with you. If not, than "Call me when you are free, I'll look forward to hearing back from you."

Got a question if you have time: I met a girl in Orlando where I live but she lives in NJ. She was here celebrating her sister’s birth and was a bit inebriated. But I got that it was a special occasion and she was actually sweet. Saw it in the eyes. Still hold to that but... She asked me if I would like her number. I told her the chances of my actually using it was low given the distance and I don’t think long distance relationships work. She gave me her phone to call myself so I had it anyway. Next day she was leaving but assuming she was sober she still seemed interested. I did all the right things. Texted when she got back to NJ. Got a lot of HAHA’s, smiling emogies, that I make her smile, glad we had a similar world view, ect. Also said she was coming back to Orlando, “soon.” The context suggested it was to see me. Seemed to be going well. Slow, steady. I got a few obvious tests and passed. I’m thinking, “Maybe I was wrong about long distance relationships. This could go somewhere.” All seemed to be proceeding according to what I believe might be your ideal, but this is only the first week. Last response I got was, “I’m a little busy, Hun, but I was talk to you later.” Seemed a bit put-off-ish but I’m just flowing with the breeze. But I do HATE the texting stuff. I was surprised by her calling me, Hun. I have no idea what to make of that but it kind of stuck out and I wasn’t expecting it; and you are the beautiful Oracle on this stuff so maybe you know. I know, way too little info, but I’ll sign a waver I won’t sue. Okay, question: since she said she was busy and she would, “talk to me soon,” (and she could of been busy since it was only the first possible hint of a change of a cooling of the the heart) do I wait then for her to get in touch with me? I know, seems like a dumb questions but that’s the long-distance electronic world in which we live and I’m not sure I’m all that keen with it or good at it for that matter, but she did initially seem sweet and interested. (Facebook confirms she’s a pretty as I remembered.) Dating these days feels like carrying someone on your back while walking a tightrope, and every new one is strung at a different tension. Don’t pursue and you’re not interested or insecure. Pursue to sincerely compliment and show interest and you’re anything from needy to a perv; and all the while negotiating that not knowing if you have a narc on the other end just gathering all your vulnerabilities with which to drive you nuts later on. Daunting. But we have you. (Speaking of which: Problem I found watching your videos was I’d tend to forget any issues I was having since falling in love with you made them seem appear insignificant. Maybe that’s a good thing. The knights of chivalry would purposely fall in love with a married woman with whom there was no hope in order to stay focused. I do see the logic in this. Didn’t work in your case, however. I found it harder to stay focused. And Canada is further away than NJ and I’m already having problems with that. The new makeup is not helping at all.) But if you got this far, thank you, and I’d still like your opinion. (Are there direct flights from Orlando to Vancouver? Just curious.)

Hello, Anna. I'm enjoying your videos, especially how they present what men do or don't do from a general women's point of view. I'm not actively dating, but I am always curious about what other people think and you have very interesting things to share. Subsequent to this video, I saw another video of a young woman attempting to get a date using a male profile on Tinder. She was asked to do this by a male friend as an experiment, who also provided photos of himself, and later expressed her own frustration how hard it was with other women who either did not respond after matching, only responded with 1-2 word conversation-killing responses, or ghosted her. I did note that her opening texts were simply "Hi, [name]. How are you?" I do wonder if what she rationally thought women would want wasn't actually to what most women would respond. And, Happy Birthday!

Oh , I have seen that video from Alexander Grace. That young woman had no idea how to be creative in [her]his texting, [She]He was totally boring. Of course , since as a woman she never had to think in her life of 22 years how to think creative to approach others. Being good looking and waiting to be approached by guys, and then filtering them out, was the only think she had to do. So it was not a surprise for me to see how bad she was at texting.

thanks for sharing your knowledge. I'm perplexed here and I was hoping you can shed some light. I reconnected over social media with a friend from grade school. For the first few weeks things were great!. We did a lot of catching up, she sent me photos of her and I did the same. I kept it light and fun and being a bit outgoing, I flirted a little bit. Which she seemed to play along. I didn't mention anything about relationships but did ask to meet up at some point. (Quarantine is making this difficult). She hesitated a bit but agreed. But now she's not reaching out anymore, so I don't want to seem to eager and have not reached out either. However, she does on occasion like or comment on some of my fb posts. She did at some point mention that she freaks out if things are rushed. Which I agreed to. In my opinion I didn't over pursue, but what gives?

Don't get me wrong, but why I find all of this tiring is because it is so much rules and hassle. What she doesn't understand is that we (men) aren't genetically made this way. We are still hunters and we like to keep it simple. We prefer to be clear in what we want and we say it immediately. We don't spend energy on how to seduce a woman and what to say to her. That is something for women, but really not for men. Women chat a lot among themselves and plan things like this more than men and therefore they prepare more than us. Therefore, as a woman (advisor) you cannot assume that we men do the same as you.

I don't think I have a problem attracting women or having a conversation, I'm already chatting with two attractive women whom I'm sending to the friend zone. The problems I have are either women are too shy or lack self-confidence to approach me, or if we meet online they think I must be a scammer, and the latest was a women I was having great chat with for weeks. We both saw pictures of each other on the site, but then it came time to exchange more realistic selfies and she kept asking for mine and refused to send me hers (I don't think she is scammer). Another, when I asked for current selfie she seemed to have gotten angry with me when I sent her mine, and again no selfie. I like the librarian types, a little nerdy, and smart but it seems the better-looking women, who aren’t good at conversation, have the self-confidence to go for it. HELP!!!

Great information in theory but in practice is a whole other issue. Say you got a 50yr old separated two years, 12yr old daughter, not much of a dating history i.e. "No Game" then what would you suggest?

What about starting a convo with “howdy do”? That’s one of my favorites. Also I’m thinking if you’re telling a lady that being with her makes you feel like you’re on a Maui beach with a cool ocean breeze coming in, don’t add “oh, here comes a porpoise”.... too soon...too soon!

Well, Anna Jorgensen. I thought, at my age (50s) , there is not much more to learn! But you keep proving me wrong, Anna (too soon for the First name)? Example: I tend to use more than one exclamation point - always. i looked back and realised it was from my days as an uptight college newspaper editor. (exclamation point withheld. And, 'S' in "realised" from Queen's English, as you probably are aware, being Canadian/ former British subject. ;) ).

The most important tip this time is that men and women don’t comprehend in the same way !! A man have different ”archives” in their mind or brain or what have ya for storing things feelings knowledge but women only have one big archive and put everything in there !!

So not a response to any particular video by Anna, but just a few thoughts that come to mind having seen a dozen or so. (1) Anna likes lists. She likes them a lot. And that's fine---I like a good list too. I appreciate that not all of Anna's lists have the same number of items. It always makes me suspicious when one is trying to fit ideas to format---it feels artificial. (2) Anna likes sexual innuendo. Enough said. (3) If Anna is to be believed, women are terribly complicated creatures. I have a PhD in physics and teach at a major public university. I'm not smart enough to understand the nuance that encompasses femininity, and the methods that strategically penetrate their defenses. I'm in awe of the amount of analysis that goes into these male/female interactions, but I can't imagine applying them in life. There's neither room enough nor processing power enough in my poor head to do this. Still, it's just fascinating. (4) I take umbrage at much of the male/female stereotyping concerning wants/desires/behaviors. Maybe Anna is right, and I shouldn't shoot the messenger. But I still find myself wondering why we can't just be people. And why can't we just talk to each other? Be smart. Be interesting. Know things I don't know. Call me on my shit. Make me laugh. Don't expect me to be masculine, don't be offended if I have feminine qualities. I don't know if I'm alpha---I find it difficult to care one way or the other. I embrace multitudes. And should I contradict myself, then very well I contradict myself. (Gotta love WW.) I do not fit into any mold that a woman may have for me. (5) I don't have a clear understanding of shit tests, but they seem annoying. I'm rather certain that I've failed some in the past, and the creepy thing is that I never knew they were tests. (6) If Anna is right, and women do function at this level of subtlety, then it must be terribly exhausting being a woman. (7) My MBTI is INTJ, and with that comes a natural aversion to chit chat, postering, or random conversation. I don't see myself changing that. I don't see myself wanting to change that. I'm not going to approach women (or men for that matter) without a clear need. It's just awkward. (8) I am unable to end a communication without a punctuation mark. Simply can't do it. It may be formal, but it's honest signaling, as I really am rather formal. (9) And lastly, keep up the good work Anna!
