Thanks for this video! The “trigger” is one of the most overlooked topics of the swing and early on I noticed almost every good player has a consistent one. It creates rhythms and tempo w/o much thought and kind of puts the swing on “autopilot” so to speak. This video reinforces what I’ve been trying to work on.

Hi Milo I initiate my backswing with my lead shoulder and lead knee bending inward together Starting the swing with moving the club head a head of the ball is a drill Dr Kwon shows his students. Have you seen any of his videos? The funny part he says as you did we can’t do this as we swing the club. The students at the end of his hour long session says; now only if I could figure out the trigger to start my swing every single time. To which DrKwon says (as he admits he is not a golf instructor) to them; “you have to figure that out on your own. So thanks for your take on what starts the backswing I think it will help many who have gone through Dr Kwon’s drills and now need to take their new swing on the course. Cheers 😃⛳️👍👍🥂

Great video Milo. Great tip on how to direct momentum. For me, it's key to have a trigger to start the swing but more importantly, to start the shift of force to the lead side before completing the Backswing. This really gets the momentum going. BTW-I think when you edit your video, you may need to turn on stereo audio. I'm only getting sound in one ear bud. Rock on.

I have been playing golf a long time and I went through a period where everything was spot on. Then now I have a few muscle and back issues and can't find my way back to the correct swing. I went out yesterday and tried yours at the driving range and it was so easy on my back I couldn't believe it and how it came in with that sort of right shoulder Down Under feel and smack every time! I can't thank you enough.

Nice 1 Milo. .👍 I guess it's like saying voluntary versus involuntary actions. The involuntary will happen naturally through the swing i.e. the plane. That's what George Knudson use to say...One of Canada's finest ball sticker. 😊🇨🇦🥂

Starting the swing is so frustrating. Nephew Jack has been giving me hell recently about my inside takeaway. Tried a lot of things to get rid of if. I had it kind of minimized for a while. Between good trigger/ pressure shift and naturally taking it away. There is some kind on extra interference that is tucking it inside. Even when the trigger is good.
