I have a similar problem where I don't know if the disc encoder OR the carriage scale encoder strip OR timing belt is the problem OR something with the actual carriage is broken and makes a strong screatching strong noise every time i open the printer. The green power led and the two orange leds for ink and paper keep flashing simultaneously. Some times it thinks a paper jam has occurred but that is not the case. How can I calibrate the sensor for the disc encoder? How do I calibrate the sensor for the carriage scale encoder strip? My printer is Epson L3110. My printer does not have a LCD screen for error codes so I don't know what's actually wrong. How can I figure out what the problem is? Thank you!

Sorry to hear that about your problem....if you know how to open or disassemble your printer. You check it if their is a debris or paper in the roller, sometimes even a small debris can cause a printer error....You can check also if their is a disalinement of gear...Most of we encounter in Epson product is the motor and the broken gear or the the one who pick up the paper but if your not experience troubleshooting your printer, it much better to see it in a printer technician.

For temporary use only, I put glue but I replace the broken part. You can order online but in my case I get the part from our old printer that is already not use.

Mighty bond or Bulldog, pero much better to replace that broken part may mabibili po niyan sa lazada.... pero working naman po yan as long as dumikit yung gear sa bakal, dahil yan po yung umiikot na part kasama sa ibang mga gear...👍

Na encounter na din namin yan sir before.... First open your printer and check those wires if meron na putol o na disconnect.. Sa scanner naman check din yung connection ng scanner or try to calibrate, lahat kasi ng cycle ng parts ng printer need exact calibration para umayos yung pag galaw ng mga gears, kasi pag meron ka nagalaw at hindi maayos pagkaka balik don din nagkaron ng problem. Yung ginawa lang namin sa ganyang problem like yours sir ay kumuha lang kami ng replacement don sa luma at sira naming printer hindi namin basta2x tinatapon yung mga sira namin na printer dahil don din kami kumukuha ng parts. If okay pa naman sir at makapag print pa, mas okay na din yung kaysa hindi na gumana... Baka kasi pag inayos mo pa yung sa part ng scanner, baka hindi na mag print😅 Meron kami ganyan na printer hindi na makapag scan, hindi nalang namin ginalaw basta makapag print pah😂 Try to see other tutorial baka may mahanap ka. Sana maka tulong yung advise ko sa problem mo👍

Unable 8F it is mean either mechanical error or their is a foreign object inside. It might be small piece of paper or any debris inside your printer that can affect the operation of the machine. Try to see inside the printer if their is a piece of paper left cause by a paper jam.

Nagka taon lang yun sa akin yung timing disc yung nasira... Unable 48 error is not necessary all about timing disc.. You also consider printer head part like the cable or the board it might be broken or short circuited. Yung gamit kasi naming printer ay over used na talaga. Lumagpas na siya sa limit o service required. Pero nagagamit parin namin hanggang yung printer natalaga ang aayaw.
