Got me thinking about overtones too… lfo modulation or 2 or 3 overtones and feeding into a band pass (or bass ass) filter.

Tried it 3 days ago and it was stunning! Thank you Tom, well done! Also taking one of the divided audio out to a A-160-5 gives some amazing texture as an additional test.

You have just made a subharmonicon by the looks of it. Its what and how you patched the clock divider to that confused me because in order to emulate your patch I would need more than a clock divider? Will all clock dividers do the same or only the ones that do the odd numbers eg 17? Great video. Did you buy the intelligel unit as is or did you build it up?

No, I don’t think so. This patch is running at audio frequencies - Pam’s doesn’t go fast enough!

Hi Tom, thanks for sharing this, what a wonderful idea ! I couldn't help but notice you seem to be running Hemisphere on your 1U O&C, is that the v2 ? If not, would you mind sharing which firmware you are using ? Mine seems to be stuck on a -3.5v/+3.5v range while I get a full range on the original O&C firmware😕Thanks in advance for any help you can give !!
@TomChurchill
@TomChurchill 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yep, I'm running Hemispheres on a V2 1U O&C - it came pre-installed when I bought it. Are you definitely running a VOR-compatible version of Hemispheres? (I'm assuming you have a VOR-enabled O&C - I think they all are though?) That's the only thing I can think of tbh - sounds like it's probably not a hardware issue if it's working OK on the original firmware. If you haven't already done so, maybe try grabbing Hemispheres from here and reinstalling... www.plum-audio.com/oc-firmware
@2DiskK
@2DiskK 2 жыл бұрын
@@TomChurchill Hello and happy new year ! For some reason, I missed the notification for your message but I think the issue stems from the fact that I have a v1 and you have a v2. I'm not too sure what the issue is but I understand that first version did not handle the VOR thing with Hemispheres properly, at least it's been confirmed to me by Plum Audio that for v1 modules, only the original firmware will work correctly and Hemisphere will not. Wish I had seen earlier the numerous posts from very confused users who I understand all went back to original firmware or simply gave up - at least I haven't ready a single clear report that Hemispheres is working fine with v1, I guess it was the plan originally then it was dropped. I'll most likely sell mine as a result and give up on Plum Audio entirely (already had issues with their QC) 😕

Will an analog oscillator as the input work the same way or does it need to be digital?
@TomChurchill
@TomChurchill Жыл бұрын
An analogue oscillator will work fine - it doesn’t matter too much what the input signal is, as long as it’s something with a rising edge that the clock divider can detect and count. So any square or pulse wave ought to be fine 👍

Do you know what is the difference between the A-160-2 Clock Divider II , and the A-160-2 Clock Divider II VE ? - and i have these "Time" units already - "Pams Workout" , "The Euclidian Circles 2" - Circadian Rythms" and promted by YOU dear Tom,a "Zularic Repetitor" "Clep Diaz"(these two really opened up a whole new world of great rytms and a new vigour , in my Eurorack journey ) - "Neo Trinity" ( Bastl) , and the "Muxslicer" - a "Black Sequencer" (Erica synth´s), an "øchd" - the everpresent "Maths" , a Disting X" ... i THINK thats my TIME-Based modules - ofcourse i have gazzilion Midi based sytems and hardware Units - im strictly OUT of The BOX - those damn computers will be the end of us ! just look at the terrible shit , AI is churning out in turds the size of Planets - im so NOT impressed with anything AI ! its Lazy , its dumb, its ugly , and it has singlehanded (AI generated hand) obliterated any and ALL kind of Master/appretice relations - scholary music intitutions , like Berklee College of Music , etc.etc. 6000 years of hardearned culture building and preservation and - The veracity of an artist´s "Clean" work will forever be i question ! Thank You , all your nontalents , who can spell to "Promt" - now calling yourselves Artist´s ! - and we all are straightjacketed into listening to all this lame POPSHIT ! sorry for the long rant - all i wanted was a little advice - on IF YOU were ME , and already had these "Time interesting" modules in your Eurorack - would YOU , as IM so very close todo - buy an A-160-2 Clock Divider II +/ Vintage Edition ,- (my problem is always , to come up with good Rythms, and drum-licks- inserts, Intros -outtros , and so on !? - i just like the simplicity of that A-160 module - but if you could get a used 4MS Rotating Clock divider for the same price - what would YOU do !? Thanks (i hope) and merry Christmess , and a happy newbie-Yeah ! 🥳👍
