appreciate this and helpful as I am helping my son up his baseball game. I have a question - if a grounder is rolling a lot closer to 1B is it allowable for 2B to throw to 1B who then throws it to SS or should the double play always start with a throw to SS

Great video. I do have a quick question. When a double play ball is hit to 2nd baseman and dishes ball to the shortstop, what would be the footwork to get out of the way of the throw to first? Also avoid runner as well? Thank you.
